M2 Pro
Built on the second-generation 5nm process technology, the M2 Pro consists of 40 billion transistors, which is almost 20 percent more than the M1 Pro. It has 200 GB/s of unified memory bandwidth. And the capacity is up to 32 GB, which is twice the size of the M2, and up to 32 GB of low-latency unified memory.
The next-generation 10 or 12-core CPU consists of 8 high-performance and 4 energy-efficient cores, increasing performance by 20% compared to the M1 Pro generation. This means that apps like Adobe Photoshop can perform their jobs fastest under maximum load.
The GPU is available with 16 and 19 core variants. The 19-core GPU includes a larger L2 cache and is 30 percent faster than in the M1 Pro, increasing the quality of image processing and amazing performance in graphics games.
M2 Max
The M2 Max further enhances the performance and capabilities of Apple Silicon with 67 billion transistors, 10 billion more than the M1 Max and three times more than the M2. Its 400GB/s unified memory bandwidth is twice that of the M2 Pro and four times that of the M2. The M2 Max also supports up to 96GB of fast unified storage.
The M2 Max is equipped with a 12-core graphics processor. The graphics processor includes 38 cores: compared to the M1 Max, the graphics component has increased by 30%. It even copes with intensive work.
You can easily complete the most complex tasks. For example, create scenes with extreme 3D geometry and textures, or combine massive photographic panoramas. The M2 Max also features a more powerful media engine with twice the performance of ProRes.
