All about the Apple AirTags

AirTag is Apple’s new device whose main purpose is to help you find your belongings. The AirTag is a coin-sized device (1.26 inches in diameter) with a built-in U1 chip that uses the Find My app and Bluetooth LE to track and help you find anything that has an AirTag attached to it.

Connecting AirTag to iPhone and iPad is a fairly simple process. All you have to do is place the AirTag next to the iPhone, after this a window will open in the phone requesting AirTag connection. Name the AirTag depending on which item you plan to attach it to and click Finish. The item then tagged will be listed on the devices, Find My App.

AirTags has a feature called Precision Finding that shows you navigation instructions that will get you to the item if it is in the Bluetooth range. Precision Finding uses Ultra Wideband technology, supported only by devices that have Apple U1 chip. The technology combines information from your iPhone camera, accelerometer, gyroscope and AR Kit to generate precise map-like navigation on the object with sound, haptic and visual feedback.

AirTags requires iOS 14.5 or later to support iPhone and iPad. This means that AirTag supports the latest iPhones: iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro, iPhone 11 Pro Max, iPhone 12, iPhone 12 Mini, iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max.

Apple AirTags is a versatile device that you can choose from in a number of areas depending on your needs and interests.
