A strong woman means a strong economy!
The company iTechnics has signed the Principles for the Empowerment of Women (WEPs). As a result, the company has joined the global movement of companies signing the principles. Through this action, the company expresses its readiness to promote the empowerment of women in the workplace, in the market or in society.
The Principles for Women’s Empowerment is a joint initiative of the United Nations Women and the United Nations Global Compact and provides a guide for businesses on how to promote gender equality and women’s empowerment.
The company joined the principles in the framework of the UN Women project “Joint Efforts for Economic Empowerment of Women in Georgia” (JAWE), which was implemented by the Georgian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
Within the framework of the project, with the technical support of the Georgian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, a gender assessment was conducted in the company and an appropriate action plan will be developed, which aims to identify specific steps needed to implement the principles of women’s empowerment in the company.
As part of the project, iTechnics has introduced significant discounts and offers for female entrepreneurs in Georgia to facilitate their development.
